Episode 12: Ken Mauldin, Corporate Fixed Operations with The Purdy Group.  Host David Boyle welcomes Ken Mauldin to the Fixed Ops Chops studio to talk about all things automotive, beginning with Ken’s experience with Purdy Group USA out of Costa Rica. The exchange of information between these two cultures and automotive markets is paying dividends to his Toyota stores in the Dallas, TX area.  Dave and Ken also dig into the technician shortage – a topic that no fixed ops lead can avoid. Ken shares how he’s holding on to his valued team while growing the next wave of technicians.

Episode 11: Brian Kramer, GM Accu-Trade | EVP Cars.com.  Now serving our industry as a solutions provider, Brian has a lot to offer dealers.  He led a digital transformation at the multi-dealership Germain Automotive Partnership as a General Manager and his 28+ years of retail auto dealership experience spans brands like Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Infiniti, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Toyota and Lincoln franchises in Ohio and Florida. Kramer is also a recipient of the inaugural Automotive News “Top 40 under 40” award and serves as Member of the Google Dealer Advisory Board. 

Episode 10: Jim Roche, CEO and Founder of WarrCloud.  Jim has a long history in the automotive industry, bringing more than three decades of automotive fixed operations experience. Previously, Jim has founded a number of automotive ventures and has written several books on fixed ops leadership. Jim has held leadership positions at some of the most prominent names in automotive, including Cox Automotive’s Xtime, AutoPoint and other organizations. WarrCloud is the automotive retail industries first and only technology platform that automates warranty processing.

Episode 9: Tony Cooper, Fixed Operations Director for Regal Automotive Group.  Tony joins host Dave Boyle  to talk about what he’s seen over the years in dealership fixed operations.  Cooper heads the division for Regal Automotive Group, a 7-store group in Florida with more than 45 years of excellence.  The Regal Way is a philosophy that focuses on teamwork and customer experience, but at its heart is the commitment to its nearly 350 employees and their families. The Regal Family have made it a priority to recruit, educate and promote dedicated, career-focused individuals.

Episode 8: Todd Heitz, National Director of Fixed Operations for Greenway Automotive GroupWelcome to the Fixed Ops Chops stage Todd Heitz, National Director of Fixed Operations for the Greenway Automotive Group. Todd joins his old pal Dave Boyle to discuss all things automotive. Greenway Auto Group is a family of new and used car dealerships based in Florida that also serves drivers from nearby states of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Missouri, Texas, and beyond. Under Heitz’s leadership, the group is managed massive growth while preserving personalized service.

Episode 7: Pat O’Rahilly, Retired President/CEO of Aspire Marketing Services.  Pat joins Fixed Ops Chops host Dave Boyle.  Pat describes his introduction to the automotive industry as a high school graduate, traversing his journey to a car dealership owner. O’Rahilly continued to buy dealerships, becoming one of the first automotive groups in the nation. After a number of successful campaigns for his own dealership, Pat grew his own advertising agency to support fellow dealers who sought his expertise. Epsilon eventually acquired the company, though he remains an industry leader.

Episode 6: Fixed Ops Chops LIVE Dealer Forum!  Host Dave Boyle and guests Mike Vogel, Dan Warren, Roy Tunno and Dan Beres invite you to watch the recorded broadcast tailored for dealership Dealer Principals, General Managers, Service Directors and other fixed operations leadership. Having dodged a couple of close calls, Michael Barich has an amazing journey to share. He joins David Boyle on the Fixed Ops Chops podcast to share what he’s carried with him from the dealership to his consultancy.  Barich earned his stripes as a fixed ops coach by turning around one of the most poorly-running Nissan dealerships in Tennessee. In 2021, he led Murfreesboro Nissan to the #1 dealer in the country for customer pay and labor sales, and #2 dealer in the country for tire sales. Today, he collaborates with automotive dealerships to architect a more functional service department.

Episode 4: Ed Roberts, COO of  Bozard Ford Lincoln
Along with a few others, Roberts is the voice of fixed operations in the industry.  His career spans several leadership roles on the dealer front, but Ed really took center stage a few years ago as the growth in fixed operations occurred.  His store, Bozard Ford Lincoln in St. Augustine, Florida, not only serves as the model for Ford efficiency and customer loyalty, but for all stores who admire Ed’s approach to team building and employee retention.

Noonan is not only one of the most recognized faces in the MOPAR world, he bakes up one of the best brownies that will ever cross a sweet tooth.  Every year, Noonan organizes one of the most successful parts and service shows in automotive, drawing CDJR dealerships, vendors, leaders and OEM staff from across the nation.  He’s one of the sharpest minds in automotive customer loyalty and we’re so pleased to welcome his insight on building customer loyalty and retention through a better service experience. 

Episode 2: Tim Jackson, President of the Colorado Auto Dealers Association
For the dealership body in Colorado, the name Tim Jackson is more celebrated than that of John Elway, former Denver Broncos quarterback.  Jackson serves as Chief Staff Officer of the Colorado Auto Dealers Association (CADA), the trade association for 400 new car, truck, RV, and motorcycle dealers across the state. Tim’s leadership has positively impacted just about every state ADA across the nation, as he advocates for issues of importance to franchised new car dealers. Tim joins Dave on an automotive industry timeline and what’s in store with electric vehicles (EVs).
